SIBI WATER SUPPLY - 1 x 26 minutes
We heard that there will be water wars, and the world’s fresh water reservoirs are just 3% of the total water in the world. We knew that multinationals find the fresh water as future blue chip and investing in various ventures around different developed and developing countries.
But in this part of the world “Pakistan”, availability and supply of potable water is still a big deal…
This documentary will detail the story of a train which carries water for “residents of Sibbi” a small town in south west province of Baluchistan, Pakistan, this same train that carries crude/ furnace oil to various train junctions. The same train also carries water for over 5000 residents of various villages and small towns around ‘Sibbi’, water contaminated with oil and is highly injurious to health. But did the residents have any other water resource options? People have no other choice, no other alternative but to use this water for drinking purposes. They are still facing the same problems since birth of this nation.
